Job Title: SAP Officer
Location: Mobile Role covering the South East and South West
Grade SC1
Salary Range £31,500 – £38,500
Permanent role including car allowance and mobile working allowance
Field Operative role with travel covering SE and SW England
Can work remotely up to 2 days per week

The Role:
To organise and monitor the Training and Development of new entrants to the Construction Industry, following Specialist Applied–skills Programmes (SAP), to maximise the number of successfully completed programmes in accordance with individual and CITB requirements.
About you:
Are you someone who has good communication skills, is driven and has a keen interest in helping new entrants achieve and reach their potential within the construction industry? We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, well organised and works well within a team.
This is a mobile role involving extensive travel across the South of England. You will work with colleagues across a number of teams in order to support our customers and meet the requirements of CITB objectives and the wider needs of the construction industry.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
Knowledge of Safeguarding
Working under CITB internal contracts subject to monitoring and quality assurance processes

Essential
Good standard of secondary education with a minimum of three GCSE’s (A-C) or equivalent
Knowledge of Work Based Learning and Ofsted inspection requirements
Knowledge of the VQ system and NOS.
Experience in dealing with trainees preferably within the construction industry
Good communication skills and ability to make decisions
Ability to build good relationships with Learners, employers and Sector Training Providers.
Have good interpersonal, negotiating and presentation skills
Be well organised and able to work to tight schedules
Have IT skills including Word, internet, Excel and e-mail
Ability to manage own workload
Desirable
NEBOSH or NVQ 3 in Occupational Health and Safety
Working knowledge/experience of CITB training related products
Training or teaching qualification or willingness to undertake a qualification (Teaching, training and assessing learning L3)
SSSTS is desirable but training will be given’
Special Conditions/Other Requirements: e.g. enhanced DBS, travel requirements, working
arrangements:
The role is a mobile one, with no office base, and will require extensive travel across South of England, as well as occasional nights away from home.
The role requires a flexible approach to working patterns and area coverage to ensure the smooth running of the SAP programmes within a small team dynamic
This role requires an enhanced DBS/PVG for child workforce and children’s barred list check
