Responsibilities
- As the Sr. SAP BASIS Administrator, you will support and work on design and implementation of SAP S/4 on SAP RISE
- This individual contributor will work with core group of Sr. SAP BASIS Engineers and SAP teams.
- Provide support of daily operations for SAP BASIS activities, including oversight and accountability for relevant global incident/event/request queues
- Provide oversight and governance for projects, execute project plans, provide project estimates, and landscape recommendations.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and cooperate with various project teams, including production support teams located offshore.
- Implementation of SAP S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, FIORI and other SAP systems including third applications.
- Implementation of SAP S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, FIORI and other SAP systems including third application in the HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) and RISE.
- Working on SAP HANA 1.0, 2.0 databases with MDC of multiple tenant databases on a cluster node of larger TB and involved in designing the Auto Failover of HANA systems in SUSE Linux servers.
- Implementation of SAP Analytics Cloud and integrated with S/4 and BW/4 systems and SAP Cloud applications. Completed the File Server Setup for SAC to connect/publish the local file systems.
- Responsible to setup the System Replication for HDB systems, and SAP SLT setup.
- SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) Security Monitoring using Central log system, automated to initiate the immediate alerts.
- SAP BODS installation and setup, integration with SAP S4/HANA, working with BODS Developers and support project and production related activities.
- Support and build HANA Security around System Privileges, Object Privileges, Analytic Privileges, Package Privileges, and Application Privileges.
- Responsible for SAP Support to troubleshoot the issues in SAP systems collecting and providing the trace files and diagnosis information to SAP and open SAP support connections.
- Planned and lead the SAP and HANA upgrades through the different landscapes on various versions.
- Setup and support SSO using SAML and SAP Logon tickets. Using different methods like SNC, SAML and certificates (SSL)
- Using SAP Service Marketplace for OSS messages, SAP HEC, Service Requests and to register the Client systems and open the systems for SAP for trouble shooting.
- Work with SAP RISE and HEC Teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelors, Masters or higher degree in Computer Science or Information Systems from an accredited institution or equivalent
- 8+ years of SAP BASIS work experience and 4+ Years on S/4 HANA latest releases experience.
- Experience working in a consulting and/or large-scale IT organization with at least 5+ multi-country SAP project implementations of high complexity, at large scale and with a global user base.
- Completion of a 2+ previous SAP S/4 project upgrades and Hands-on, in-depth SAP BASIS knowledge.
- Demonstrated SAP & SAP HANA on HEC and RISE and Ability to work collaboratively across project teams.
- Ability to work flexible hours based on varying business requirements.
- Hands on experience working on SAP S/4, BW, Fiori, Solution Manager, SLT, Vertex, Open Text, and BODS.
- Understanding the SAP application architecture, SAP NetWeaver technology (ABAP and Java, alike), instance, work-process nature and roles, ICM, IDOCs, BAPIs, RFCs, Logon Load Balancing, SAP router configuration and setup.
- Deployment approach and strategies for SAP GUI, SAP HANA Studio; Experience with Fiori and other advanced SAP stacks.
- Solid experience of best SAP practices, archiving, system copies, single-sign-on, encryption, SAP SNC.
- Experience integrating and operating 3rd party applications required for change management process, monitoring, troubleshooting.
- Experience installing, monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting SAP applications and SAP HANA Databases.
- Experience following protocols and standards specific to SAP large scale implementation.
- Experience working with SAP support on troubleshooting various issues: understanding the nature of the problem, raising OSS incidents, providing necessary support to SAP analyst to investigate problems.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems, networking and infrastructure concepts that are related to SAP environments: OS commands, OS account administration, disk and volume management, file system concepts, LANS, WANS, Routers, DNS, VPN, NAT, TCP/IP protocols, etc.
- Experience working on System refresh, Client refresh and using third party client copy tools like EPI-USE.
- Understanding the SAP HANA technology, detailed understanding of in-memory computing, backups and restores, BACKINT, SAP HANA Cockpit and SAP HANA Studio, HANA Replication Services solutions.
- Understanding high-availability, disaster-recovery concepts and SAP technology surrounding the following scenarios.
- System landscape configurations and operations, administrating Sap applications, starting/stopping SAP instances, printer management, Sap security operations, monitoring the SAP systems for health and performance issues, background jobs management operations, transport management system, Sap kernel updates, SAP application upgrades, implementing Sap OSS notes, applying SAP add-ons and support packages, application tuning.
- Expertise in SAP security integration and controls
- Excellent verbal/presentation and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with all levels of Business and IT
- Self-starter with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge.
- Demonstrable collaboration and teamwork skills
- Strong adherence to IT/SAP project methodologies and change control processes and experience using JIRA.
- S/4 HANA Upgrade experience. Planning, Preparation, and co-ordinate with SAP teams to upgrade. System Copy, System Upgrades.
- Experience working on BODS system migration from HANA to Sybase
- Daily production Support: – Daily monitoring of production systems, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- GRC Access Control – support and work in coordination with SAP Security team to implement the SAP GRC Access Control components like EAM, ARA, ARA and BRM to automate and fully secure the security in SAP systems.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $102,300 – $148,350, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
