The SAP BASIS Administrator will be responsible for managing various SAP systems. SAP BASIS Administrator may work with a wide variety of SAP technologies. Ideal candidates have a broad range of experience and expertise in system administration, configuration, and support for SAP environments. The candidate must demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and the capacity to work in a collaborative environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Support the BASIS team in landscape strategy, design, and implementation for the full SAP landscape (SAP JAVA, ABAP, HANA and BTP).
  • Responsible for SAP software installations and configurations, performing software upgrades, performance tuning, capacity management and planning, and trouble-shooting production problems for each environment.
  • Recommend server software upgrades, perform software patching, and assist development teams in their efforts.
  • Responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to other technical employees within technical discipline.
  • Responsible for leading large or complex initiatives that involve technically challenging requirements at this level, involving delegation of work and review of work products of the lower-level technical professionals.
  • Respond to Service Desk requests and problems.
  • Maintain best-practices, standards, and procedures documentation.


QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field
2. Five to seven years of experience in software development or a related field
3. Five to seven years of experience in database technologies
4. Five to seven years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC)

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Ten years of SAP IT experience administering and implementing business systems within an organization
2. Five to seven years of experience working with defect or incident
3. Five to seven years of experience writing technical documentation

4. Five to seven Experience working with Continuous Integration/ Continuous Administration tools.
