BTS Job Description:
Overview: Business Transformation Services (BTS) is the advisory arm of the Global Customer Engagement & Services layer in the SAP Customer Service & Delivery (CSD) area. Global Customer Engagement & Services enhances customer trust in their SAP cloud journey roadmap and shortens their time to value for each step during that journey. It offers a unified engagement experience across all CSD offerings. This helps the customers adopt SAPβs solutions faster and unlock economic value in their SAP and IT investments.
Our team draws on insights and experience from years of SAP customer implementations and helps SAP drive the Customer Lifetime Value journey. The BTS Enterprise Architect role will help the customer during the customerβs evaluation phase of SAPβs solutions and subsequently drive their business transformation by adoption of the solutions. We coordinate with Customer Success colleagues within SAP in various RISE motions (greenfield, conversions and selective data transformations) through Next level Adoption and Consumption (NLAC) and classic Go-to-Market.
This is a key customer leadership role, requiring deep knowledge and understanding of SAP solutions (on-premise/cloud) as well as core business processes and industry best practices. Excellent facilitation and communication skills are essential as is the ability to effectively engage with executive stakeholders, partners, and SAP account teams.
Key Competencies:
- Manage Architecture and process governance on SAP/partner led projects with focus on Customer lifetime value.
- Guide customer teams in using Enterprise Architecture frameworks, establishing governance models, and implementing business process modeling disciplines.
- Proven knowledge of SAP Enterprise Architecture Framework and Toolset.
- Work effectively across SAP and customer teams/functions for achievement of business outcomes
- Facilitate collaborative architecture discussions with our customers IT and business executives.
- Develop 3β5-year strategic roadmaps encompassing the evolution of enterprise business solution portfolios from current to future state.
- Leverage industry and SAP reference architectures for successful transformation outcomes
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership skills – able to lead customer engagements at an executive level.
- Deep business process expertise in at least two or more areas across a customer’s value chain
- Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
- Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and establishes understanding for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to propose implementation and deployment alternatives and estimate the financial impact of various options.
- Strong understanding of Business Technology Platform components and services such as application development and automation, data and analytics, Integration, and AI capabilities.
- Awareness or experience of SAP Integration Advisory Methodology, SAP Extensibility Advisory Methodology, SAP Clean Core principles
- Understanding of SAP LeanIX & SAP Signavio as modeling tools for Enterprise Architectures & Business Processes.
- 7+ years of SAP experience with at least 7+ years consulting experience
- 7+ years of enterprise architecture (business & IT) experience
- Relevant SAP and enterprise architecture certifications such as TOGAF, Open CA (certified architect) are valued.
- MBA preferred.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAPβs commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 105,200 – 228300 USD USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
