ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reconcile the monthly physical inventory of raw materials and publish report.
- Perform audits of movement history to determine root cause of reconciliation errors.
- Audit production work orders to ensure the correct components are being consumed including daily reconciliation of the COGI errors.
- Research inventory back-flushing errors. Determine root cause and recommend corrective action.
- Reconcile SAP WIP material issues. Conduct physical check for components still available after production run. Publish data and follow up on corrective action.
- Be a resource for the Quality department for inventory reporting.
- Determine and publish warehouse capacity utilization as well as cycle count bin accuracy.
- Coordinate the physical and transactional scrapping of material once authorization has been given.
- Train associates on the cycle count procedures and transactions
- Assist with safety administration
- Maintains the OSHA log and Near Miss reporting.
- Provides support for the safety toolbox topic meeting.
- Maintain the daily safety Gemba walks
- Assist employees with LMS training.
- Handles local safety activities as needed (in conjunction with the plant manager)
- Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Plant Manager
BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 β 5 years of experience working within a manufacturing or plant-like operation; experience working with employees at all levels of an organization
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Bilingual Spanish a plus
- Ability to work independently; has strong reasoning abilities and demonstrates sound judgment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and juggle multiple initiatives.
- Computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel and SAP system)

- Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety, quality, product safety and legality, security, and regulatory compliance as applicable
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum requirements to be considered for this position
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: Packaging experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS : Must be dependable and a team player, ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, internal quality procedures, and machine operating procedures. Ability to communicate production and machine issues to supervisors and others in work area. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment around machinery. Basic mathematics (i.e. counting), basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working Environment: Safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes are required. In addition, task specific PPE may be required.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may continuously use hands and fingers to position, and arms to reach. The employee may frequently bend and move about the work area. The employee may occasionally remain in a stationary position, ascend/descend steps, push and pull, and communicate. The employee may occasionally move and position up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
