SAP Application Specialist
Full job description
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration or related field.
2 – 3 years of experience in comprehensive computerized system, computer systems, statistical work.
2 years or more of experience with business which utilizes SAP Applications.
Experience in basic programming skills.
Valid Driver’s License (subject to motor vehicle record review).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
Provides functional application support for the user community.
Assist and provides training/knowledge transfer to Users.
Manage business process and IT change requests e.g. configuration changes, new interfaces, patches and updates.
Manages the interaction with the SAP support team in areas such as; issue resolution, development of customer support processes (internal and external), technical planning, and work coordination. In-depth, working knowledge of SAP processes and application supporting multiple modules.
Participates on all SAP projects providing assistance with scheduling the work, ensuring availability of resources, material etc., and ensures the quality of the deliverables.
Provides technical assistance to computer users regarding hardware, software, or basic network connection problems, and follows up to ensure successful resolution to their request.
Works together with other IT and business departments in regards to SAP systems and operations topics.
Updates and revises reference material and work procedures and solutions,
Provides new and updates solutions in order to save costs, generate revenue or provides any other aspect of improvement for our business lines.
Recommends, implements, and assures compliance with policy and procedures affecting computing technology.
Supports the end user with first and second level issues.
Participates in the establishment of the technical direction required for the IT team to meet the organization’s goals.
Responsible for the development, execution and measurement of effective internal service level agreements.
Plans and/or participates in administrative projects requiring independent judgment.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
